Bio:
Corean Brennan. How the hell did she get here? Well not easy, that's for sure.
Back in the day, when the corporate base was still on Pandora, she attempted to join the research team. Honestly, who could pass up the opportunity to be on Pandora? The new world! Except they would bring her along. No matter how much she showed her creditability, her experience, her scientific ability. She wasn't surprised. She knew what they wanted. No brain and 'alota muscle. What a joke. Fine, if that's what they want, it's what they were going to get.
After she was refused countless times, (Even by the American Embassy) Corean hatched a little scheme. Be a marine. Not really be one, of course, by why not pretend to be one? All she needed was a fake birth certificate, fake id, maybe through in a dog tag with a fake profile? She could handle it. What did she have to lose anyway? She didn't have any family, friends were scarce, and her parents were dead. Come one she was practically a hobo, with a very intelligent brain. This was the perfect opportunity to make a fresh start, do something wonderful in a far-away planet. What's better then that? Nothing is.
So, with everything said and done, she and a few connections, she was on her way to Pandora. To bad she couldn't have a look outside the ship, it would've added the her book she was working on. But no. As soon as she stepped on the dang ship, knock out. Cryogenic sleep. Well, she shouldn't complain she supposed. At least she was on her way. Like said before. Nothing to lose. No family, and hardly friends. Back when she was about, oh-say, eleven or twelve, she lost them. The died in a fire. It was a huge blow on her. They were the only ones she had. It was quite a surprise as well, who would have guessed the gas tank in the garage was stolen and some sick bastard would light the front of the house. No one that's who. Corean escaped with minor injuries, but it took it's tool on her emotionally. Recurring dreams, Pyrophobia and depression. All through life. It was rather like a nightmare she could never wake up from. So, instead of turning into a puddle of pity and self-destruction, she began to research. Writing, learning, putting her nose into the books. She became valedictorian of her graduating year. Off into college she did the same. Never play and always work. Until she read about Pandora, she never really gave a care about it though. Nothing made her excited until this. Pandora and the avatar program. This was her fresh start. This is what she was meant to do. And she would. Whether she was going to die to do it. So, off she was into the unknown depths of space. Going into some jungle planet with toxic gas that would inevitably kill her if she took off her mask, and her she was, giddy as a school girl pretending to be a marine.
After landing, of course she was at awe. Everything was absolutely beautiful. Everything was so different. It's a wonder why no one was in culture shock. Immediately she was being watched. No one knew she she really was, or her purpose here. So she did what she did best. Mingled. Acted like she knew what she was doing. Quickly she was forgotten, and how she liked it. Not that she enjoyed it, but it was comfortable. Being invisible got you places. So she got to work, researching, using her avatar to communicate with local tribes and gaining trust. Of course she didn't get everyone's trust, but she was okay with that. If a local disliked her, she'd quickly leave. Easy as that.
Her book was coming along quite nicely, until the corporation started to make they're moves. It hadn't dawned on her why they were here. Exploring? Obviously not. She learned the hard way. She had been in her Avatar when the blast of smoke and the loud explosion tore her gaze away from the locals. Someone was killing Home tree. She ran, trying to help other's if she could. Dragging bodies and guiding the elderly. One word described this act. Pain. Anger coursed through her. So much anger that she's ever felt in her life. And that scared her like no other. She had family. They were her family. And it took an explosion to make her realize it. After that she aided the rebellion against the humans, driving them out with the others. She was one of the select few that stayed behind. Now she was nothing but a civilian, book forgotten, mingling with the local tribes and the other humans that stayed. Later on, she will choose between her human body, and her avatar.
