Flora: Pandora's Plant Life

Flora on Pandora is of a tropical type several times taller than that existing on Earth. Many, if not all plant and animal species have bioluminescent properties. It is also proposed that most species of flora are only able to grow in the presence of unobtanium.

* The Tree of Souls is a tree where the Na'vi are able to communicate with the biological network exists throughout Pandora. Cameron described the Tree of Souls as "a big input-output station" and was inspired to design it by bioluminescence that he encountered during night diving.

It is destroyed by the humans using rockets, which leads to the Na'vi clans' alliance against the humans.

* Woodsprites (Atokirina in Na'vi language) are seeds of the "holy tree", appearing similar to airborne jellyfish. It is a very pure spirit that lives in Pandora.

They are the seeds of the Tree of Souls, and they are very sacred to the Na'vi.

Where they choose to sit, they are considered an omen. They are planted with the body of a dead Na'vi.

* Helicoradian is a carnivorous plant has red spiral-leaved plants are up to 3-4m tall and when touched they curl and collapse into themselves instantly.

* Octoshrooms (Na'vi name: Torukspxam, meaning "great leonopteryx fungus") are large mushroom-like organisms that live on Pandora. They are bioluminescent and extremely toxic. These fungi possess a giant underground filament network that enable them to feed.
